With the continuous advancement of deterministic characteristics in the 5G standards and specifications, as well as the continuous popularization of 5G network coverage and vertical industry applications, the integration of 5G technology and TSN technology has become particularly important.
Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and Peng Cheng Laboratory (PCL) are two of the largest R&D centers in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), with the strongest R&D background in networking and communications technologies.
In this white paper, ASTRI and PCL have jointly developed and showcased the endto-end 5G data plane integrating with TSN technology and have achieved highprecision time synchronization with minimized jitter. The research results are positive and instructive to explore 5G vertical application scenarios, leading industrial evolution in smart manufacturing, power, and mining industries.
